Elusive Ancestor Hunter 
Hi there.
My Grandmother has never had an idea of who her father is and would really like to find out. Last year she sent a DNA sample off to ancestry.co.uk and although there are lots of relations (mostly 4th cousins onwards), we are no closer to finding out who he is/was.
Just wondering whether you had any advice on what we could do to find him? Or find out who he is and what the rates would be for potential help to find him? My grandmother has siblings but they have a different father.

I suggest you upload her results to gedmatch.com. This is a group that takes all dna testing companies and compares the results. You might find you have family members that tested with another company. You could send me an email and we could discuss other options. Elusiveancestor@gmail.com
Good luck. it’s always a shot in the dark looking for the unknown father. What time frame and country is grandma in? That might help what advice I can share with you.
